Everyone who managed to secure tickets for Taylor Swift's record-breaking stadium tour in the U.S. may get ready for some immediate nostalgia, while those who couldn't may soon get some of their hurt feelings soothed. This fall, a movie version of "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" will be released, with the premiere date set for Friday, October 13th (of course).

It differs significantly from the type of one- or two-night special engagement that moviegoers who enjoy live music have grown accustomed to. In order to ensure that the singer remains larger than life on the chain's premium screens, many of the chain's Imax and Dolby Cinema locations have committed to showing the movie at least four times per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through its initial engagement. AMC Theatres has also committed to showing the movie at all of its U.S. locations. A number of more theatres and companies are anticipated to add the movie to their schedules in the United States, including Cinemark and Regal.

Swift shared a preview for the movie on social media along with the statement, "The Eras Tour has been the most meaningful, electric experience of my life so far, and I'm overjoyed to tell you that it'll be coming to the big screen soon." The concert movie will be shown in theatres across North America beginning on October 13! At amctheatres.com, tickets are now available. Friendship bracelets, period clothing, singing and dancing are all welcomed. LGB, 1, 2, 3, (iykyk).

AMCTheatres.com, the Cinemark website, and Fandango are currently selling tickets. Prices in Swift's universe are as mathematically dense as anything else: $19.89 for adults (plus tax), $13.13 for kids and seniors, and on regular displays. (As always, there will be up-charges for Imax and Dolby Cinema showings.)

Are they prepared for it — specifically, for a potential immediate swarm of millions of Swifties? Traditionally, movie theatres have not openly worried about the possibility of ticketing systems failing, but desperate fandoms call for desperate methods. The on-sales for the real tour were a nightmare for many fans, thus AMC is claiming that precautions have already been taken to prevent any meltdowns of the kind. with the caveat that it might not be as quick or simple an experience as, for example, purchasing tickets for "Barbie."

AMC has improved its website and ticketing algorithms to accommodate more than five times the greatest rush of ticket-buying traffic the firm has ever witnessed, according to a statement from the company. But AMC is also aware that no ticketing system in history appears to have been able to handle the enormous demand from Taylor Swift fans when tickets are initially made available for purchase. Online ticket buyers who want to be the first to acquire their tickets may encounter difficulties, longer than normal waiting periods, and even outages. AMC is dedicated to making sure that any delays or outages are resolved as soon as possible.

In addition, there won't be any passes or AMC A-List Stubs usage, and there won't be any reimbursements. The latter regulation was put in place to deter would-be ticket resellers from buying a lot of tickets and then requesting their money back all at once if they can't sell them.

Despite being a significant partner, the concert movie is not just available in AMC theatres. The firm will make the presentation available to theatres that are not linked with AMC for the first time, marking "the inaugural step of a new line of business for AMC Entertainment." As of now, Cinemark and Regal in the United States, Cineplex in Canada, and Cinepolis in Mexico have all agreed to screen the movie. AMC has stated that it anticipates signing up additional theatres before October. Bookings for places other than AMC are being assisted by Variance Films.

The reason for having an extra battery of cameras available for the first three nights of Swift's six-night run at L.A.'s SoFi Stadium in August was finally revealed in the statement made on Thursday. Given the apparent influence she might have on the national box office with this type of event, there was widespread speculation that the celebrity was filming with the big screen in mind. The "Reputation" tour concert film was broadcast on Netflix as a New Year's Eve special, and Swift has also worked on projects with Disney+ ("The Long Pond Sessions") and Amazon. As a result, it was difficult to rule out the possibility that the star would re-team with one of these services when the extra cameras were first spotted in L.A.

Since the Eras Tour won't physically make an appearance outside of the Americas until 2024, it makes natural that no mention has been made of any international commitments. The majority of Swift's 2019 tour schedule includes stops in Australia, Europe, Japan, and other countries. Her camp presumably thinks there won't be a big rush among the fans who managed to secure tickets for those shows just because they'll now have the opportunity to see a movie version before she returns to the United States for a very brief engagement to wrap up the world tour in the autumn of next year.Unauthorised fan livestreams provided many fans with clear peeks of her three and a half-hour concert, but as the U.S. tour progressed, those kinds of video spoilers actually tended to increase resale values rather than decrease them.

Sam Wrench, the film's director, has already produced live Imax concert presentations for prominent performers such as Brandi Carlile in 2022 ("In the Canyon Haze Live"), Billie Eilish at the O2, Lizzo: Live in Concert, and BTS: Permission to Dance on Stage.

The running duration is indicated as 2 hours and 45 minutes on the AMC ticketing website, which is a little under the time limit that was recently 3 hours and 15 minutes in stadiums. Since there are rumours that no songs have been removed from the setlist for the movie, some of that condensation will probably be caused by the removal of costume and set changes. On the nights when additional cameras were filming in Los Angeles, the surprise solo selections included "I Can See You," "Maroon," "Our Song," "You Are in Love," "Death by a Thousand Cuts," and "You're on Your Own, Kid." A "secret songs" mini-set will be included in the movie.

While there was no waiting at Fandango, where tickets are also available, fans who instantly followed Swift's lead on social media to purchase seats at the AMC website were pushed into a brief queue that was showing up for many as a wait of approximately 15 minutes.

Tickets are being offered for performances until November 4; all of them are on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with the exception of showtimes also being available on Halloween night, a Tuesday. There was no official announcement on how long the movie might be in theatres.
