Sky mobile Service crashes leaving thousands of Britons unable to make or receive phone calls

Thousands of Britons are unable to make or receive phone calls after a Sky Service outage

If you are a Sky customer and you have been experiencing problems with your phone service today, you are not alone. Thousands of Britons have reported that they are unable to make or receive phone calls using their Sky landline or mobile network.

According to DownDetector, a website that tracks outages, the issue started around 10am this morning and affected users across the UK, especially in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds and Liverpool. Some users also complained about problems with their broadband and TV services.

Sky has acknowledged the issue and said that it is working to fix it as soon as possible. In a statement on its website, Sky said: "We're aware of an issue affecting some Sky Talk and Sky Mobile customers this morning. We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we're working hard to restore service as quickly as possible."

The cause of the outage is not clear yet, but some users speculated that it could be related to a power cut that affected parts of London earlier today. However, Sky has not confirmed this.

Many customers have expressed their frustration and anger on social media, saying that they rely on their phone service for work, education or health reasons. Some also said that they were unable to contact Sky's customer service or access their online account.

One user tweeted: "Sky phone lines down. Can't get through to customer services. Can't log into my account. Can't do anything. This is ridiculous."

Another user wrote: "Sky mobile and landline down. No way to contact them. No way to work from home. No way to contact family. No way to contact doctor. No way to contact anyone. Thanks, Sky."

Some users also reported that they were able to use alternative methods to communicate, such as WhatsApp, Skype or FaceTime. However, these options require internet access and may not be available for everyone.

If you are affected by the outage, you can check Sky's service status page for updates or follow their Twitter account @SkyHelpTeam for more information. You can also try using a different phone network or device if you have one.

We hope that Sky will resolve the issue soon and restore service to all its customers.
