Skip Bayless said he no longer trusts 1 NBA player.

The Los Angeles Lakers have a whole summer to plot their next move, and fans should be optimistic after Rob Pelinka worked his magic to rebuild the squad during the regular season.

They have multiple free agents to try to keep, but they may not want to make any major changes.

At least, that's how Skip Bayless perceives things.

The often-controversial analyst recommended the Lakers avoid signing rumored summer target Kyrie Irving, citing his lack of faith in him.

Even Kyrie has stated that basketball isn't his first priority, according to Bayless, so why would they want someone who isn't 100% committed to winning with them?

Irving, as bright and skilled as he is, has often been chastised for going on and off, and he has a reputation for not being available or even accountable.

Irving also brings with him a slew of public relations issues, as the Brooklyn Nets discovered the hard way.

However, if anybody can keep him focused and locked in, it's LeBron James, who previously won an NBA title alongside him.

Still, the Lakers put together a good roster, and it appears that they just need a few small modifications to be legitimate title contenders again.

At the end of the day, the majority of the Lakers' prospects will be determined by Anthony Davis and his ability to live up to expectations on any given night, so they may not need to make such a large free-agent splash at all.
