Johnston shooting resulted in 3 fatalities, including the perpetrator, and 1 injury- as police stated




 According to the police, a guy opened fire on three persons in Johnston early on Wednesday, killing two and injuring one.

Police in Cranston chased the man until the pursuit ended at the Plainfield Street I-295 on-ramp.

Police have not provided any other details on the suspect's capture, but they have confirmed that he is also deceased.

On Wednesday, Polisena Jr. posted a message on social media stating, "I was informed this morning of a triple shooting in Johnston." "I can now certify that the suspect has been captured and the public is no longer in danger."

According to the Johnston Fire Department, the incident happened at 2 Ligian Court at approximately 7:30 in the morning.

The Johnston Police Department hasn't given out a lot of information on the original incident.

Both the suspect's name and the identities of the victims are unknown.

The road was clogged with police and fire department personnel at the 295 site.

A TV team from NBC 10 saw that the suspect's car had suffered severe damage.

Additionally, there were bullet holes visible in the suspect's car's windscreen.

The mayor's office did not provide any further information but did state that it will provide more when it became available.
