Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez Resolve TikTok Drama with Apologies and Love

Due to their latest argument, Selena Gomez and Hailey Bieber have been in the news. Given that they both dated Justin Bieber, one of the biggest music singers of all time, the two celebrities have a difficult past. While Hailey and Justin were married in 2018, not long after he ended his romance with Selena permanently, Selena and Justin had an intermittent relationship from 2010 to 2018.

The feud between Selena and Hailey started when Selena posted a TikTok video on February 22, 2023, joking about how she accidentally over-laminated her eyebrows. The video went viral, and many fans praised Selena for her humour and beauty. However, some fans also noticed that Hailey posted a screenshot of herself FaceTiming with her friend Kylie Jenner on Instagram, showing off their perfect eyebrows. Many fans speculated that this was a subtle shade at Selena's eyebrow mishap.

Despite the rumours, both Selena and Hailey denied that there was any bad blood between them. Selena commented on a TikTok video that accused Hailey and Kylie of bullying her, saying that it was "unnecessary" and that she was a fan of Kylie. Hailey also commented on another TikTok video that claimed she was jealous of Selena, saying that it was "a reach" and that she had nothing but love for Selena.

Selena maintained the drama, though, by making comments on further TikTok videos that alluded to her previous connection with Taylor Swift and her relationship with Justin Bieber. She thanked a follower who commended her for managing her split from Justin amicably and going on with her life. Also, she defended Taylor Swift—who is regarded as one of her closest friends—in a video that showed Hailey gagging when Taylor's name was spoken. Taylor has been described as "one of the finest in the business" by Selena, who also expressed her affection for her.

Then Selena declared that she was quitting social media, claiming that she was "too old for this" and that she wanted to concentrate on her music and her cosmetics company Rare Beauty. Nonetheless, a large portion of her followers still defended her while denouncing Hailey for bullying others online.

On February 28, Hailey posted an Instagram story with a song by Rema called "Calm Down." However, she chose the version of the song that did not feature Selena Gomez, who collaborated with Rema on a remix. Some fans thought that this was another dig at Selena, while others thought that it was just a coincidence.

Selena returned to TikTok on March 5 with a cosmetic video that included her Rare Beauty items. Many of her fans praised her for her attractiveness and abilities, and she appeared to be having fun and being confident in the video. Selena pleaded for her followers to be more considerate and mindful of mental health in the comments section. She stated that she did not want to be the cause of anyone's hatred or bullying.

Justin Bieber hosted a magnificent party on March 6 to commemorate his 29th birthday, and many famous people, including his wife Hailey, were there. He shared numerous images from the occasion on his Instagram page, which showed him and Hailey having fun and cuddling. Several followers believed that this was an attempt by him to downplay the conflict with Selena and highlight his successful marriage.

Selena and Hailey finally spoke up about their conflict and TikTok scandal on March 25. They both shared lengthy Instagram stories and posts indicating that they had been speaking to one another in private and attempting to work things out. They both requested their supporters to refrain from spreading hate and hostility online and expressed their apologies for any hurt or misunderstanding they may have caused. Both of them declared that they preferred love to hatred and wished to end their continuing conflict.
