Brooklyn Nets' Kyrie Irving donates $38,000 to aid medical bills for North Texas accident victims

Basketball player Kyrie Irving of the Brooklyn Nets recently gave a kind gift of $38,000 to help cover the medical costs of three Indian migrant students who were hurt in a horrible car accident in North Texas.

The University of North Texas students, who were data science majors, sustained severe injuries and were left unable to pay for their mounting medical bills.

As a result of Irving's generosity, they were able to reach approximately half of their fundraising target for their treatment and recuperation after creating a GoFundMe page.

One of the students, Chandrashekhar Reddy Yedavelli, was shocked and grateful when he saw Irving's name on the donation list. He expressed his gratitude for Irving's kindness and generosity, saying that he was now the basketball player's newest fan.

Irving has previously demonstrated his charitable side. He has donated to many organisations in the past, including funding an orphanage and a school in Africa, providing food and masks to families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, paying off tuition expenses for nine students from HBCU Lincoln University, and buying a house for George Floyd's family.

Irving has also been outspoken about social justice issues, using his platform to spread the word about racial injustice, police brutality, and mental health issues.

Despite Irving's right foot pain keeping him out right now, he is anticipated to make a quick recovery and rejoin the Nets in their quest for the NBA championship. He has been scoring 28.4 points, pulling down 5.1 rebounds, and dishing out 6.1 assists a game this season.
